PART Launches Transit Development Plan to Strengthen Local Service
Community Input Sought Through Survey and Outreach Events
Pottstown, Pa. – The Borough of Pottstown and Pottstown Area Rapid Transit (PART), in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), is launching a Transit Development Plan (TDP) to evaluate current bus service and identify opportunities for improvement.
“This plan will help guide how we better serve our communities — improving connections, increasing access, and making transit a more convenient and viable option for more people. Our goal is to deliver meaningful improvements that benefit both existing riders and future users across the region,” said Kourtney High, Grants Administrator, Borough of Pottstown.
PART is conducting an online survey and organizing community outreach events to gather insights into local transit needs. Paper surveys in both English and Spanish are available for those who prefer them and will be provided at each event, and at Pottstown Borough Hall, located at 100 E. High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464
The events will take place on the following dates and Pottstown locations:
- June 23rd from 10 AM – 12 PM at Charlotte Street Coffee Roasters located at 59 N. Charlotte St
- June 23rd from 1 PM – 3 PM at Pottstown Regional Library located at 500 E. High S
- June 24th from 10:45 AM – 12:30 PM at Tri-County Active Adult Center located at 288 Moser Rd, Suite 1
- June 24th from 9 AM – 10 AM and from 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM at Pottstown Transportation Center located at 141 E. High St
